We Love Goblins is a Roguelike game prototype made with Unity in 1 week
for the 7DRL Challenge 2021 Game Jam.

Creating the game served a purpose of practicing procedural generation in a 2D context, working with 2D lighting and shaders, creating pixel art assets and acquiring pixel perfection with multiple sprite characters in Unity. Graphics being the focus of the project, game mechanics were kept very simple.

As the name might suggest, the only goal is to kill goblins.
Below are 3 images demonstrating the variation possible by procedurally generating characters. After drawing about 4 unique characters it was possible to generate hundreds of unique characters by combining their elements according to some rules.
As mentioned the aim of the project was not focused on the gameplay, it is a bit buggy but you can download and try it out anyway. It is turn based and can be fun,
and it is not as easy as it seems.
"feels like trying to catch olives with a fork"

1- Mind your portal points, they might drop from goblins or chests which are rare.
2- You can only hit right, left and below, not above and it is so for goblins too.
3- If not able to catch a goblin, attack and miss to pass your turn, your grids will align.
